Ever watched ‘Strictly’ and wished you could be gliding across a dance floor with your partner?

Ever been on holiday or perhaps on a cruise and seen a full ballroom of couples doing the same dance around it?

Ever thought they seem to be having fun but you couldn’t possibly join in?

Ever thought it might be good to spend some regular time together with your partner

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you might want to consider taking up sequence ballroom dancing. It’s much easier than you might think!

All you need to do is start attending a dance group where other couples are happy for you to watch, follow and learn the small number of popular sequence dances that you have probably seen others doing. It’s so much easier to dance when all the couples are doing the same and moving in the same direction!

Once you know the main dances in the group, you can also attend other afternoon and evening social events and join in the dancing. There are lots to choose from, some dressy occasions, others more casual and relaxed and, of course dance holidays and cruise after dinner dancing.

Apart from the satisfaction of learning new skills and the health benefits of keeping yourselves fit mentally and physically,  you get to meet new people and make new friends within a social environment. So what’s not to like?

Our dance group meet on Friday afternoons between 2 and 4 pm at the Windmill Centre, Hunt End, Redditch and, at the moment we have a few places available for beginner couples.
